Here's a magazine article that decodes something so simple yet hard to explain -- why so many people (Texan or not) are so obsessed with a gas station.  Further, how does Buc-ee's embody the Spirit of Texas?  

One of the most important parts of a visit to a Buc-ee's travel center -- beyond the brisket sandwiches, Beaver Nuggets, and wall of jerky -- is to take pictures with the statues at each location.  Social media is full of people posting their photo moments with their favorite gas station mascot.  So, who's behind these iconic statues?

It won't surprise y'all one bit that Buc-ee's made the list.

We're thrilled for the people of Tennessee.  However, it'll be a couple of years before you get a store of your own.  All y'all can rely upon us here at Texas Snax to hold y'all over until then.

We argue that reason why Buc-ee builds such cavernous stores is that he's a big tent kind of guy who is happy to unite us.  If that's not a good reason to get a Buc-ee tattoo, we don't know what is.  However, some of us will go the temporary or Henna tattoo route.
