Mississippi is Joining the Buc-ee's Party Train

WLOX coverage of Buc-ee's plans to open a location in Mississippi

Buc-ee's is at it again.  It is continuing its quest for world domination -- well, southern domination at least.

The next lucky state to get one is Mississippi.  According to Biloxi ABC affiliate WLOX, Buc-ee's is set to open up in Harrison County at the exit of Menge Avenue and I-10.  The Harrison County Commission has given their blessing and has committed to invest more into the off-ramp by adding lanes and lengthening ramps.  In exchange, Buc-ee's will build a store, hire a couple of hundred people, attract customers, and bring tax dollars to the area.  As usual, the travel center will open about two years after the announcement.

Here's another interesting fact about this new location.  The plan for this location is for it to have nearly 80,000 square feet.  That's bigger than the New Braunfels location near San Antonio or the also just announced location in Sevierville, Tennessee, which surpasses the former.  Looks like the folks running the official Buc-ee's website will need to edit the World Record Holder page on the site.

Phew!  This a lot to take in.  Well, we guess that y'all can't get enough of a good thing -- more Buc-ee's locations.  While the rest of all y'all wait for one to open up near your digs, we here at Texas Snax are here to help out.  We'll ship y'all some goodness right to your doorstep.
