Buc-ee's Candied Jalapeños are sliced jalapeño peppers in a sweet syrup, packed in a 20 oz (567 g) glass jar. They add sweet heat to burgers, nachos, sandwiches and cream cheese dips.
Texas Snax Take on Buc-ee's Candied Jalapenos
You'll see them searched as Buc-ee's candied jalapeños, Buc-ee's cowboy candy, or Buc-ee's sweet jalapeños. "Cowboy candy" is the old-school name, and it fits.
Honest notes. In our opinion they're sweet first, then the heat creeps in, so they're friendlier than plain pickled jalapeños but still not for someone who thinks black pepper is spicy. The syrup is the bonus: spoon it into a vinaigrette, brush it on pork chops, or pour the jar over a block of cream cheese and set out crackers. That last one disappears fast at parties. It's also a go-to gift for Dad, especially the dad who puts jalapeños on everything already.
