H-E-B Texas Originals Brisket Rub is a spice blend made with sea salt and tenderizer, in a 6.5 oz (184 g) shaker jar. Use it on brisket, beef ribs and other cuts for smoking or roasting.

Texas Snax Take on H-E-B Brisket Seasoning & Meat Rub

Every pitmaster has opinions about rub. Some swear by salt and pepper only, some guard a secret blend like a family heirloom, and some wisely grab a shaker and save their energy for the fire.

H-E-B's Texas Originals Brisket Rub is that shaker. It's searched as H-E-B brisket rub, H-E-B brisket seasoning or H-E-B meat rub, and it works on beef ribs and chuck roast as well as a full packer.

Honest notes. It has salt and tenderizer built in, so skip extra salt and don't apply it days ahead; the night before or an hour before the smoker is plenty. Coat generously for a good bark, and use a little mustard or oil as a binder if you like. The regular jar is right for a few cooks, so if you smoke often, the 28 oz Texas-size jar saves trips. Rest the brisket before slicing. That part isn't in the jar.
