H-E-B Texas Originals Borracho Bean Seasoning is a spice blend made with sea salt for seasoning a pot of borracho beans. It comes in a 5.0 oz (142 g) shaker bottle.

Texas Snax Take on H-E-B Borracho Bean Seasoning

Borracho means drunk in Spanish, and borracho beans get the name from the beer in the pot. This shaker handles the seasoning; you handle the beer, the bacon and the patience.

It's from H-E-B's Texas Originals line, and people look for it as H-E-B borracho bean seasoning, H-E-B bean seasoning or H-E-B pinto bean seasoning. It's the shortcut to the kind of beans that show up next to a plate of brisket or fajitas.

Honest notes. It's made with salt, so add it before you salt anything else, then taste and adjust once the beans have simmered a while. Leave out the beer and it works for a plain pot of pintos, too. A Mexican lager or a Texas bock is the classic pour, but the beans don't need anything fancy. Make a big pot; beans are almost always better the next day.
