The Buc-ee's Lifeguard Sun Hat is a woven straw hat with a wide brim, a round Buc-ee the Beaver patch on the crown and a black band. The brim edge is bound in black and the underside shows a Buc-ee's print.

Texas Snax Take on Buc-ee's Lifeguard/Sun Hat

Lifeguard hats are the summer uniform of Texas: lake days, Little League bleachers, and yard work at 4 p.m. when it's somehow still 100 degrees. This one puts Buc-ee the Beaver on the front, so even your shade has a road-trip theme.

Our favorite detail is underneath. The printed under-brim stays mostly hidden until you tip your head back, and then everyone gets a peek. People search for it as the Buc-ee's straw hat, the Buc-ee's sun hat, or the Buc-ee's lifeguard hat.

Honest notes. Straw hats don't love being crushed, so it's happier on your head or a hook than flattened in a beach bag. A wide brim catches wind, too, so keep a hand on it on the boat. It's one adult size, which suits most heads, but smaller heads may find it sits a little loose. For long days outdoors, it's one of our favorite ways to wear Buc-ee's without wearing a T-shirt.
