Texas Snax Take on H-E-B Beef Fajita Seasoning

Fajita night in Texas is less a recipe and more a ritual: hot cast iron, onions and peppers, warm tortillas and a sizzle you can hear from the next room. This shaker handles the seasoning part.

It's H-E-B's Texas Originals blend, searched as H-E-B fajita seasoning, H-E-B beef fajita rub or H-E-B skirt steak seasoning. If chicken fajitas are on the menu instead, there's an H-E-B Chicken Fajita Seasoning made for that.

Honest notes. With salt and tenderizer already in the blend, go easy on extra salt, and don't leave the meat sitting in it for hours or the texture can turn mushy. A good sprinkle on both sides and a short rest before it hits the grill is plenty. Slice skirt steak against the grain after it rests, and nobody will guess you didn't marinate it overnight. Leftovers make excellent breakfast tacos.
