Texas Snax Take on Buc-ee’s Toxic Waste Candle

Most Halloween decor smells like nothing, or like a pumpkin. This one smells like berries and looks like it's oozing slime, which is a lot more fun.

The drippy purple and green lid is the star, and it's been one of our better-selling Halloween candles this fall. Fans call it the Buc-ee's toxic waste candle, the Buc-ee's slime candle or the Buc-ee's Halloween candle, and the label names the scent Berry Slime. Vampire Buc-ee the Beaver on the front ties it into the rest of this year's Halloween lineup, like the Buc-ee's Halloween Vampire Plushie.

Honest notes. A berry scent is fruity, not spooky, so if you were hoping for smoke and cobwebs, this one is more candy store than haunted house. Set the lid somewhere safe while it burns, and never leave a candle unattended, especially with little trick-or-treaters reaching for the slime. It looks just as good unlit on a shelf if you'd rather keep it as decor.

  • Vampire Buc-ee: Buc-ee the Beaver in a vampire cape inside a green circle.
  • Halloween decor: Black container with purple and green striped trim fits a spooky display.
